« on: October 11, 2010, 03:49:20 AM »
I'm not knocking the sprinter van here, heck I'm torn between one or a transit my self...but

Have you checked the cost of an oil change Bill? Get ready for a heart atack :P
The intervals are something like every 10,000-20,000 km.which is super nice!

How much?

Its a diesel so it WILL cost more. They take more oil and use bigger filters.

The Mercedes Diesel engine requires a "special" oil filter.....not really special, just a little more expensive. Oil changes are around $50 compared to a $20-$30 that you would normally pay. Since Bill says he is not mechanical it is easiest to just take it to a place that caters to RV's. No big deal.

Wanna talk expensive, try looking up oil changes on the new lambo's.   It's a 1 month wait minimum too.

The only thing that sometimes it is hard to swallow is to know that your work van costs more than a Porsche.

Well a Cayman at least.
