Velour w/cyclo

Next Tuesday I have a whole house of carpet to clean and at least one velour chair. I plan on using the cyclo with the grey upholstery brushes. I have used it only on micro-fiber so far with great results. Does anyone have experience on velour fabric with the cyclo? If so could you offer any advice? I plan on using hydrox or perox, cyclo, white towel and finish with a velvet brush. Thanks.

personally, i would not use the cyclo on velour. rather than that, i would just clean that puppy the old fashion way, using a horse hair brush along with cleaning juice, and a **** load of white terry towels, to towel off excess moisture. then groom with velvet brush.
it would also be advantagous when yer toweling off and grooming to have air moving to aid in dry time!!

I'm with Micky. Use a dry-type of foam and a horse hair brush, vacuum heavy and air movers.

Test for color fastness.

Agree with Micky. Velour doesn't like a lot of agitation.

i forgot to mention, ya'll wanna definately NOT use lotsa heat! velour is like microsuede when it comes to heat!! the fibers will fuse/bind together. tepid water at the most

Thanks for all the replies been mia last couple of days. I might just break out the porty extract, towel it off, and follow with the velvet brush. Recently cleaned two recliners and a love seat that way, just hoping the cyclo would do the trick.

I got to thinking about the opinions expressed in regards to the cyclo being used on velour. Keep in mind the cyclo I purchased has adjustable speed so I can slow things way down and the grey upholstery brushes are quite soft. With that in mind, would that change any opinions?

Its still a lot of agitation. You could try it on the back or something? Plan on a lot of grooming if you use it.

in fact, the slower ya'll use the cyclo, the worse it may come out cause with the slower speeds, we tend to use more downwards pressure, soft bristles and all.

BUT,  try like mike suggests on the back to see whats gonna look like!
