What about the Mitey One?

I've used the Kwik Steam with the high flow uph tool and it works well but uses a lot of water, I mean a lot.  Maybe a different tool would be better.

Mytee?

I'd rather let my dog vomit and feed it to me with a razor blade.

Don't use a high flow tool on ANY portable machine unless you like lugging water. Honestly I don't like high flow tools on any upholstery. There is no need to use that much water. Even when you have a truckmount.

wow, i see john bolton also has a sense of humor   :043: :043: :043:

anyways..........

jon,

not to take away from ed and his fine line-up of equipment, but i think i recall mentioning in the past the mid-sized sniper line from sandia plastics.
built like russian tanks, great vacuum options, pump options, heater options, priced right for what they offer. they make for an excellent upholstery/stair cleaning machine!

also go here-------->http://www.steam-brite.com/store/shazaam-auto-detail-extractor-vacs-200psi-1000-watt-heater-p-8749.html

not the best looking machine on the market but it too offers quite a bit in the way of choices!

Micky- That is another unit I have been interested in. There was one on Ebay I ran across. Wouldn't 200 psi be a bit high for upholstery cleaning? I am used to 100psi.

That's what pressure regulators are made for.

Adjust it to suit the piece you are working on.

Micky,

I do have a sense of humour............... the trouble is that these days I forget where I left it!  :017:    (What was it I was looking for?)

Jon,

The presure used on upholstery is party dependant on the fabric but also on the tool employed and the jet fitted. For example on a fabric where I might use 100 psi with a Kleenrite Swivel-head tool, I might use 200+ with my CFR Combi Tool or my Sapphire Scientific. Using a generic, open-jetted tool, the presure needs to be kept down to limit over-spray.

jon,

i've done upholstery cleaning with pressure as high as 250psi with a kleenrite tool. naturally, that was on some cheapo furniture, and waiver signed!!!

as mentioned above, tool type, fabric type, regulator, pump flow, etc...........all come into BIG PLAY!

some as low as 60 is sufficient.

100-150 was the norm for me when i did upholstery   :great:
