Forum Firewall
« on: March 02, 2011, 08:17:52 PM »
I've been testing the Forum Firewall and checking the logs.

Am going to turn the blocking on for tonight and see how it goes. Will turn it off in the AM. Let me know if there are any issues.

I'm amazed at the stuff the other mods have stopped.  :-\

This will be just one more layer of protection. There are parts of it that I can adjust or turn off depending on how it goes.

So, the Firewall works?

Have you run any anti-malware or anti-virus programs lately?

I'm wondering if its a false positive or what.

What about Malware?

Spybot search and Destroy
Malwarebytes

Both are free. I run both. Sometimes one catches  something the other misses.

I just found some settings in Permissions to whitelist members in Firewall, Bad Behavior and http:BL.

Enabled that for anyone newbie up.

That should help?
