Yeah, no kidding. By trial and error it is a great learning experience but also costs also...AKA Mytee.

I was told over and over how using a spinner was the way to go with T&G and I was not happy using a vapor steemer because it took to long and was hard on my back. So, I finally gave in and bought a setup thinking I was on top of the hill. Come to find out, it sucked for me. It works great for others but sucked for me. Now something as simple as my other OP machine and a grout brush and I am on my way. To some, it may seem like a "hack" way to clean but the results are there. So, regardless of what a person uses. If it works for THEM. Great!

What steemer is Jeff using? I thought he had a Desiderio at one time?? Mine was crap!

I am just finding that the way I am cleaning T&G is working great with NO headaches. I dont think I will be looking into anything else right now.

My next purchse is going to be a better upholstery machine.

You realize that machine self destructs after 41.2 seconds of use right? Make sure you stand back because the smell from the smoke makes your left buttock quiver!  :celebrate:

Keep that in mind when you go to use it.  ;D

Good thing I haven't used it.

It's a good machine. You will like it.

I want something with heat and will hold a bit more or possibly the same.

Define 'heat'.

As hot as my coffee and tastes just as good.

I just want something that will heat up 5-6 gallons of water in the holding tank and let me get through a sofa/loveseat with it. I don't care if it stays continous.

The majority of upholstery I run into down here says clean with non-solvent dry cleaning by professional.  Also a **** load of microfiber that dries with water spots if you do not dry it so hwe is a no no.

I always use foam now.

I buy it at the supply store... it is a liquid mix. I whip it into a foam....often by speaking about it;s mother...and the use a sponge or hors hair brush to clean and vacuum with a clear upholstery tool that has the jets long removed.

This way I can see when the foam turns clean.

Smells like fruit.. banana I think. Tastes like crap.

I can charge through the wazoo for this. And I can control the moisture...and heat.

I whip up 2 gallons at the time using hot or warm or cold water.

That is dry, non-solvent and I am a pro.

Bingo.

I never do microfiber with HWE. I have a secret for doing it. PM me if you want to know what I do. It works killer and is fast and has zero wickback issues. I wont talk about it here in public.

And Phil, Mytee is out of the question! I will probably be going with Sandia as well. I have heard good things about them in the past but I always seem to forget about them. Going to keep thier name fresh in my mind this time. A 6 gallon machine by them will do just fine.
