how is everyone these days?
« on: October 28, 2011, 03:42:41 AM »
Yes, I have missed you guys. I have been busy as heck the past few months.
I'm also doing the hvac course for certifications. And stocking up on hvac equipment, parts, freon of all sorts.
I also have been finishing up my K5 Blazer. Got all the nasty carpets out put in tons of new stuff. She sounds like a full blown funny car now. Wicked fast.

I still am fighting for custodial rights for my three girls. My oldest turned the big 13 last Saturday. The only way to pass on any info is through my sister and its tough not hearing my kids' voices.

I bought a Chihuahua for my girly friend. She named it Sunny. But, I call it foo. She goes into this kung-fu rampage on my dog its pretty funny. Stupid dog actually hits my dog with her hind feet and punches with her front paws. And funnier yet she smacks him in the face with her ****. I get to laughing pretty hard over that dumb dog.

I bought a police light bar off Craigslist. Put it on my K5 while in the driveway. Fired up all them pretty lights. And a state trooper just happened to drive by. And came over to give me a big fat ticket. $3500 worth. Went to court and fought it and won. Since it wasn't mounted and on private land. Etc..
So, I have $3500 set aside for when I drive it down the road with them things going. Mwah ha ha...

Its been slow here gnu, not clicky.
Most of us seem to be extremely busy with life and work.
I've mainly been just lurking lately ... check the forum from my phone. While my head is on my pillow before I passout.

ya ya, So lets see the Blazer with the lights on already!
I saw on a diff thread you said something about not having a website, or discounted rate ad's etc.
So what started working for you, phone book?

And my excuse is that I have been re positioning around the map. Had to get out of Sandblast weather and into the NW again, where the sand stays on my toes. Spokane CdA area.

Funny how you lived down here in Az and went to CDA area. Two years ago we were looking to move to CDA. I even have a business name registered up there.

Don't forget Jon, there is always room! because of previous ties I am gonna stay outta cda but gonna start up right on the other side in Washington. I think u said u have family hear which is awesome! I tell u what I wouldn't trade the quality of life here for nothing! I went 10 minutes from town and am in hunting country firing off some shells. Then last weekend went out on cda lake on a friends boat and tried my best at snaggin some Kokanne (the fish not the beer).
Those bikes u got done there are amazing! Takes some talent im sure! What's the second one?

Sorry guys. Mike, I was venting like a jack a$$ sadly. I was ticked before I got on here. I do appolize.
John, those cafe racers are pretty sweet. I found one on craigs list bout the time the stock crashes.$400 complete. A stock car for $500 and a lot of crazy good stuff. Sadly it was on there for months. And I dare not spend savings.
Burton, glad to hear you became a tree hugger too. Just need a four wheel drive to seal the deal of red neckin. Lol. :santa_afro:

What actually started to work awesome. Was I stopped doing the cheapo specials. Hoping to upsell later on.
Call me up stuck, but my base sale was higher than scrounging through shat holes.
And 99% were word of mouth. Here, that's hard to do.

Jon, when do you sleep and eat, or is that optional? How in the world do you find time to do all these restorations? Your are, like, my garage hero. My IHCD QL1650 is still (18 months) sitting in the garage with the engine top off and a split cylinder sitting on the seat and I'm paying to have my driveway plowed.

Then Eric.....that is an excuse for you to send me that IHCD and let me put it to use!! Does it have a mower?

One of the reasons I've put off get it back to functional is that I'm thinking about doing it more as a restore. Not shop quality with OE, but while the motor is out I'm thinking to replace the wiring harness front to back, sand blast and paint the frame, shaft, transfer case, etc. It's a fun garden tractor when it is running well. In the day they called these implements 'quick connect.' Honestly, that is kind of a joke.
