A friend of mine was at his house, heard a knock at the door, answered, see's Big Mexican with tattoos up and down his left arm, then a smaller one steps in and says open your door, the bigger guy then pushes the door back.. close the door, pull out a gun and set it against his head. They then proceed to have him give up his wallet ( yes his Soc. Security card was in it ), phone, money, etc ... then left. He went next door and called the cops from neighbors but didn't go out to follow them in time and didn't see them leave (get away car etc.) And no he doesn't own any guns.. but now says its time to give in and get one. He's always been against them..

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, and tell your wife's NOT to answer any one at the door. This was done in Scottsdale off the 101 in a nice housing development at around 6PM last Friday.
He said he just figured it was a salesman because he usually gets a salesman at least once a month..

Our modo in our home is "If we dont know you and are not expecting you.....we don't answer the door". And almost all of my rooms are "tactical". This is WHY I carry a gun, this is WHY I have guns in my house. My 2.5 year old daughter knows what my guns are and she KNOWS not to touch one if she ever saw it (even though they are all out of sight out of reach for her).

It's sad that all these people who "hate" guns have to go through something like what your friend went through to finally go and get one. tell him to not give into the hype of a big gun and go to a good gun shop WITH A RANGE and test out alot of them and find one that fits HIS hand, not what some macho friend thinks he should get.

I hope they get these two beaners and toast them up real good. My house.....they would have had free body peircings by either me or my wife!

Hay Jon, have you been to that Front Sights Training Course outside Las Vegas.  Heard it is absolutely the best firearms training course in the country.  It is a little expensive but they have specials quite often that are real cheap.  The courses are four day courses.  http://www.frontsight.com/  is their web site.

Jim, I had a house 15 miles away from Frontsite there in Pahrump, NV. A customer of mine was an instructor there and gave me a 4 day handgun course gift certificate. I lost it and never got to use it.

They have been offering a $69 dollar 4 day training course special, they do that every now and again.  If I wasn't so busy I would go.  Should have gone last year when I was already in Vegas for the connections show.  Have had discussions with a few cops that have went, and they said there is no training program in the U.S. that comes close.
