Customer Tortures
« on: June 06, 2011, 06:57:35 PM »
So how do your customers torture you?

Lately mine think it's ok for me to work without air conditioning. Drove 30 minutes and wasn't warned about no a/c. Another wanted only the 2nd floor cleaned and I told them there was no way to do it without a/c. Asked me to do it really early in the morning. Record highs all week long.

I go through that every summer. I did one this morning and there thermostat was set at 85. I have a property management account that always has me do a bunch of two story homes in the summertime. There is no power in these homes......it gets real hot when it is already 115 outside.

I have always told my friends and family that if you want really good service. Have it cold in your house when someone in the service industry is coming over. They more than likely will spend more time and so something extra when the working conditions are nice.

1 out of every 10 houses I do has the AC on.

They are mostly empty and have had no AC for days.
I sweat like Mike Tyson in a spelling bee.

an item considered, by many, as difficult to steal.

But I bet you find a way.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.  Though since nobody has it there are usually a few toasty ones in August, though only for a couple of weeks.  50 degree empty houses in the winter happens pretty often, but I just turn the heat on for a little while.

We may not have temp problems here in bellingham but some of the driveways down in sudden valley are just nasty. long steep driveways, with 2 staircases to get into the main entrance of the house, no carpet on the main floor though, they called for the 3 room special, 1 room upstairs, and 2 rooms in the basement.

HA!, I never thought of that.  :043: next time I have a real tough job I'll  just go to the collection and see what card I want to leave.

Oh man I hate those.  A couple times I've almost driven off when the driveway is so steep I have to park on the street.  Done a few out there with a foot of snow on the ground too.

These pants may help for the summer.  I just got a couple of pair liked them so I got a couple more. 6.5 oz ripstop fabric. like a tent. and the extra pockets are handy as can be.

I noticed some light weight summer shorts for fishing that was similar. Wearing the Nike drifit shirts to prevent looking like a dishrag. Cotton is nice until it gets wet.

And just received my new belt. Liking this a lot.
