This is what I found when I opened the machine. I had been experiencing a real lack of vacuum so I decided to check the plumbing for kinked hoses or something. Found that the elbow was off the vac motor.

Here is what I had after cleaning and dumping the waste tank. It doesn't drain to the bottom. You have to use the plug on the side and a hose to clean this out. Not the strainer like filters for the vac motors. There are elbows that go on these that have a shutoff attached.
