You'd have to want to damage carpet with a 175 to do so. and then it would take a long time.

But, John can use photoshop and redo a photo to prove me wrong.

Ya know, show the fiber underneath the house...in China.

That's funny, with all the craziness going on lately with shredding pads, machine too loud, vibrating too much I was thinking the other day the 175 guys must be laughing at me (us) OP'ers...  :-[

I have never tip bloomed a carpet (that didn't deserve it) with OP,

Well Grant when you think of a nice new 175 running you about $800, and tons of pad choices that go with it,  makes you wonder. But I still can't imagine a 175 out cleaning me and my mighty defender, let alone you and your trinity monster, beast cleaning unit.

I got an old 20 incher sitting in the shed, it's to ugly to use, maybe next empty I will try it out and see how it works compared to the OP. Last time I used it, I got rag dolled all over the living room.

I am. Have been for months.

I still love you guys...well, most of you. But I had a lot of these issues under the POS HOS. And it pulled to the right.

:017: not laughing but thinking how happy I am that I haven't attempted to deal with one. I do think every time yall talk about the horrors that come with op, and not to mention cash involved. I will tote an extra 20lbs any day. Its amazing to me more haven't gone back, or at least gave them a first time whirl. Seems to me its mostly a perception thing when it comes to op vs 175. As for getting jerked around by one, ya gotta get them adjusted and get some time behind one, will say i hardly ever feel like I'm getting jerked around, but then again that could  be because I haven't used an op.

I've bought hotel bath mats to use as pads and they work good. They're a 86% cotton 14% poly blend and come in a 20" X 30" size. I cut 9 1/2 inches off and hem the edge with some nylon thread, so the pad is a 20 X 20  square. I ordered several bails a couple of years ago at a cost of about $1.50 each towel.

By the way I have bloomed a carpet before with a rotary and a shampoo brush.
If you use cotton pad with a rotary you could do some damage if not careful, rotaries create more friction than op.

Mike, I would buy quality pads from you, American made and pay a couple extra bucks a pad to do so.

Free trade is the problem, the Taiwanese should not be given free access to our markets. They pay the workers 10 cents an hour plus a bowl of rice and fried grass hoppers. SO they can sell a product to us for less then we can make it our self's. Pure horse crap, cause we got to pay a guy 10 dollars an hour plus pay the government $90,000 for a permit, then pay the EPA $100,000 to do an environmental impact study before we can use the garage to make pads. Then have to pay another $100,000 per year for insurance, in the event of a malpractice suit ,cause we might have refused to hire a cross dressing American Indian who had a handicap.     So what happens is a business guy would just asoon go to tiwaunieea  and set up shop for nothing and be loved for providing jobs. And not be suwed for having common sense.
