Edic rotary plus those new Pros Choice pads. They are not designed for Op machines. They are bonnets. Picked up rotary one hour before and just had to try it out. 329.00 for rotary. Looks like it has 20hrs of use. EBay score!

Yup! It's been 3 years since I switched to OP. Now that I have had 3 years to get used to an OP, I would say a 175 cleans just as well. A OP just does it smoother. I found that running this 175 was more work than my Orbot. It makes good use of those new Pros Choice pads/bonnets. Those actually work REALLY well on a 175. They dig like no other. Completely blow traditional bonnets away.

I mainly just bought this 175 because it was a good deal and I wanted a backup to my Orbot. No way in he!! will I use my HOS on carpet. I only use it for Laminate wood floors and T&G.

I hear your excitement John, but if you think OP and rotary clean the same, then I got to question your OP prowess. We have tested this 20 ways from Sunday, and proven they are NOT EVEN CLOSE. I even went against Steve Smith who is a master at Rotaries, bet his a 20oz Porterhouse, and we went to it, no comparison, he bought dinner then and OP..

Nothing wrong with getting a new tool, but making those types of claims after one day is a little more than far fetched, don't ya think?

An OP can't compare to a rotary when in comes to having a contest to see who can stand on the unit the longest once it's turned on.

Look people, this isnt a thread about OP vs 175. I have used 175's for 16 years. If you don't think they are as good as an op.....then great.

I am so proud of you.

They clean good enough and close enough for me and since I own my business, that is all that matters to me.

I prefer using them for reasons I have already stated.

But I also like black licorice.

I agree Chembright. Granted, I haven't used the brand new Trinity machine. But from the OP machines I've used, I think a 175 does a fantastic job using the right pads and chemistry. Plus, a 175 is way faster than the smaller OP machines, and easier on the body too.
