Urine odor and vapro steam brushes
« on: January 17, 2010, 02:39:34 PM »
Hey Folks,

Ended up filling in last minute for a janitor at a large church (25 hour job). Hadn't used the vapor steam cleaner much, so I decided to keep it handy for the whole job. Slowed me down a bit over spray and wipe or deck moping, but I like the outcomes. Anyway, used a round nylon brush on the end of a pressure tip to clean the insides of urinals. Now I can't get the smell out. Several uses later on the same job I had to give up on this round tip. Thoughts on getting rid of the odor?

Is the odor in the vacuum section of the steamer, not clear on the question, might just be me. I wrap the contamionated parts in a towel soaked with Odorcide and let set for 24 hours. My reasoning is if wraped with towels of odorcide it will kill the bacteria causing the odor. If it is in the vacuum section vacuum undiluted Odorcide and leave in the vacuum section.

No vac unit on my vapor steamer. Must be in the brushes. I'll try UrineEraser. That's what I have on hand.
