after a long day of cancelling appointments and looking for belts, the kind folks at carquet have promised to have the belts in their store at 7 a.m. tomorrow.  I hope they deliver, cause i got people waiting. Turns out the exhaust manifold? pipes leading to the heat exhanger have rusted so badly it's embarrassing.  I had a welder patch it together, but i'll be needing a new one soon.  With powerclean out of business, what are my options?    Will the place in Vegas fix that?  Or Johns heat exchangers in Florida?   I'd be lucky to get another week out of that thing.

Thanks for the replies.

And by the way, the kind folks at the Masters Touch that originally sold the unit to the guy who lost his shirt are absolutely no help at all.  I'll try not to start a whole new thread dedicated to bashing them.

What part of the exhaust do you need?

An exhaust bending shop may be able to help.

Yep have an exhaust co. make new stainless pipes....also I would change ALL the belts when you have everything apart. The biggest challenge is when you move the blower forcing the belt between the housing and frame. You'll see as soon as you have it apart. (Cut off the old belts its easier)

How many times has Allen Equipment told you your machine sucks and you should have bought a ProChem?

welp, i've never had a problem with my machine till now....so hopefully i can get this thing back in the saddle and they can keep their mouths shut....but seriously i've had nothing but good from them...

The reason I asked that question is cuz I have a Chem Tex unit and every time I took it in they would tell me 3 or 4 times that I should have gotten a pro chem.

I had a welder patch the many holes in the exhaust manifold.  He said it would only be temporary, cause the pipes were rusted away.  It def needs to be replaced.  I'll have to check around.

I wish i'd thot of ordering a replacement belt for the pump, too.  It seems to be in good shape, as doesn't run near the holes in the manifold, so it's not cooked.   The old belts didn't need cut off, they were burnt off.  I got the new belts on w/out disassembling anything, but it was tricky.
