hos-orbot micro
« on: September 16, 2009, 11:43:29 PM »
had it for about 3 weeks now, definitely a great machine, oscillates like its brig bro

only change i made to it was i found 4" cotton bonnets to put over the heads to actually remove soil :D

excellent for getting into smaller area's, even detailing cars.

( ordered the eureka  hand vac 71b for detailing cars and awkward area's etc, ill post later on how it works when it arrives)

you can also get 4 series of brushes for it, Standard is the soft ones for upholstery etc, all the way to a course one for cleaning ceramic tile

for those of you that have the micro and stepson/gem/whatever other names its called...brat? lol

how would you guys compare the 2,  im definitely planning on picking that one up in the near future as well looks like a fantastic machine

Didn't even know Hruby had this. Post some pics of it if you would with the extention poles. How much are they selling them for? Are the pads different from what the cyclo uses? This is a modified cyclo right?

ya ill post some pics soon :)
it is a modified cyclo lol  :D
i ordered the pads right from Cyclo tool makers, you can even get them in microfiber
in us funds im not sure

the poles make a great add on, 2 and 3 foot extensions, i would HIGHLY recommend getting it with the poles from hos.

trust me it seems weird to operate it that way, but .... its really easy on the back

noticed you have the step son in your van Jon, what are the things you like/dislike of it ?

Just got one of these myself. Don't mind the mess, I'm in the middle of packing up to move, but here's some pics I took of it.

The only thing I'm concerned about, is that the angled hole for the pole is right in front of where the cord comes out. I'm hoping that won't bring me wiring problems after a few uses.

If Cyclo (or whomever makes the Cyclo) doesn't make that machine, it sure looks like one!

It is one. Jeff Hruby just modified it a bit.

Yup, cause I have a cyclo as well. Exact thing.
As far as dealers go, if you purchase the cyco, proper counter-balance weights, brushes, you have come really close to the price, but don't have the pole extensions...lol
Thankfully my dad is in autobody work and bought my cyclo:D

Handy tho if I get a massive upholstry job:)
Hire him and go to town!

Are you guys using that for stairs?

I need a stair tool asap, my makita broke down.

I'd like one where i can fit some glads though.

Bill- go here http://www.hescoinc.com/ and type in "orbital" and check out the polisher. Same on I use and is much cheaper that everyone elses.

Bill if you have to you can encap stairs with your Sebo.  Works well on most nylons, not quite as good on berbers and PET but you can probably get by with it if you have to until you get a replacement.
