B&G Stainless converted

With all the talk of sprayers lately, I was reminded of my 2.5 gallon B&G that went bad on me a year ago. I replaced the internals and got another month out of it and then I parked it up on my shelf in the garage. Today I was wanting to make a hole with my drill.. I didn't care what it was. So, fearing my wife might not like that I made her $200 frying pan more "air streamed" I decided to convert this sprayer so I can just pressurize it with my compressor as well.
Easy thing to do. Took a whopping 5 minutes. I wish I would have done this along time ago. Seems to work good. Still holding steady at 40 psi.

Well, since everyone is so interested, I will say that I ended up getting solution forced up through the pump. I think I am now done with this pump. Had to try it though.

Too bad it didn't work
What if you found a differnt "cap" to plug the top and just discarded the pump? I don't know if such a cap exists but if it did, do you think that would work?

Should work, but I have now lost interest and kept the parts I want and into the garbage with the rest.
