HTC Inspire
« on: May 24, 2011, 01:02:38 AM »
Well I finally broke down and got a smart phone. Like the title, I got a HTC Inspire 4G. That's right! I am now not only faster on the cell phone network but, I can also text Phil and Joel like a teenage girl.
Anyone have this phone? I recieve it in a day or two. The reviews were real good. I also have https://squareup.com/coming in as well to run credit cards. Really looking forward to that.

PS. I started this "NEW" topic so Phil would quit crying and to let him know even though the world ended.......I am still here.

I have an android os phone.  I don't think I use most of the stuff you can do with it, but I am loving the Square gadget. I also like getting email, etc. and being able to surf the web and being able to read what's on the screen, even if still a tad small.

I still haven't switched over from an all paper calendar/scheduling system. Can't seem to get comfortable with anything else.

Thats what I am really wanting to do. I have found a few apps that may let me do it but I am like you. Having it all on paper makes me feel more comforatble. I would really like to have it all on my phone.

There are the apps so it syncs with outlook and others :)

I like covers for phones. I went to Amazon.com and found killer deals on a few with great reviews. The prices were so cheap I bought a few of them.

I really like the machines blue one. The two rubberish ones were under $1.00  :great:

Not for nothin' but in my most recent reality checl I was stunned to learn the world did not end on Saturday.

As a result of my new found knowledge, I decided to unpack my things for the trip. During the unpacking I found a box of tissue which I will now send to Jon.

In regard to our current topic, which I have, no doubt, hijcaked, I use this little phone....called a go phone... it does something very odd...

it makes phone calls.

Moved over to Droid X a couple months ago. Good devise. Some problems with apps. I'm trying to use SplashID for password safe and Symtask for task management. SplashID is a nice tool with one exception; it won't sync easily with a networked wireless laptop and there is no usb sync option. Symtask syncs with Outlook nicely, but I cant' get my outlook tasks over to Google. Seems like the deeper I get into technology to automate, the more difficult it is to automate. The more choices I have, the more time I spend trying to figure things out. Remember when a week at a glance day planner was a sign of a type A power player?

You have got the best on the market congrats!
Your rubber phone case will allow u to throw drop and fumble it down some stairs without breaking, plastic looks cool but won't protect as well. Make sure and get a screen protector ordered too.  :great:

Those phones would not last me 1 month!    I'm dead serious.    I'm hard on some things and phones are one of them.  My cell co. will not give me insurance on phones anymore because I've wrecked so many.   They drop out of pockets when I'm atop masts or booms on fishing vessels.   The not so fancy ones I just snap pieces back together and most of the time they are fine.
Then I have my special moments when things like my phone will not work properly, Just do the 70 mph fastball into nearest wall and problem is fixed instantly.  Just get new!  I tell cell company I  " DROPPED  " it!

Thats the nice thing about the defender series
you get a belt clip, then the phone goes screen in to the clip.
