I mentioned the language in three different threads that you contributed on. Maybe you never checked back in them? Finally I sent you a PM. I should have just sent the PM from the very start but, this is the first time this issue has ever come up.

NuTech, you curse at home? You got kids?  :-\ :great: It's fun in a weird kind of way when I'm around folks that are letting the language fly. Somewhere in the conversation they ask me what I do. If the language thing is going on I tell them I'm a chaplain at the local hospital. (True) The physical and verbal reaction is hilarious to watch.

"Oh my God! Oh sorry man. What the ......, Oh sorry man. If I would have know you were, like, you know a pastor kind of guy I would have watched my ......language. Oh, sorry man!"

A teacher from middle school once said to me that curse words are low IQ substitutes for real language. For some reason that really stuck with me.

I love to rib my kids. They lose their temper and let fly with their tongue. I quietly say something like, "So what does it mean when you associate a loving act between you Mom and Dad that brought you into this world with a bad call by a ref on a football field."

"SHUT UP, DAD."

Oh man, Eric that's twice today you got me laughing.  My wife says the SAME EXACT thing.  "stupid people use that language cuz they are too stupid to know how to talk".  Oh my goodness that one burns me every time she uses it.  Then I curse more just to prove that I am stupid, just to tick her off that she married a stupid man.  Stupid is as stupid does.

We are all adults here.  Seriously.  Censorship is not the answer to foul language, nor is playing babysitter the answer.  Most of the time the "problem" takes care of itself in the fact that most of us here keep it very clean.  It makes me feel like **** when I curse on here, because it does make me feel stupid.  But hey thems the breaks, some people just get all worked up over words.  They are just words, after all, given power only when one puts weight to them.  For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge was how we came up with the "f" word.  Look it up.  It became a "dirty" word only when people decided that it was dirty.  Take away the "power" of the word and no one cares.  You can't say "***" today like you could 50 years ago.  SEE!  The babysitter edited the word g-a-y.  see what I mean?

I know how to conduct myself.  I just hate it when we lose more and more freedom because others don't.  Isn't that when we come full circle back into slavery to ourselves and our government?  We were given freedom to do as we please, then people use that freedom, then said freedom is taken away in the name of equality or safety.  What an oxymoron to boot.  "freedom to do as we say, not as you do".  Jon the constitution grants me the right to do as I please on this forum, so yes, I do think this has to do with just that.  We could go into the legality of it, but I cannot be arrested for saying the F word on this forum.  Banned or deleted?  Sure.  I'd love to see the supreme court rule on that one too.  Not worth it.  But that day is coming my friend.  Obama shut down DOZENS of blogging sites because they were anti obama.  It's not a joke, it's for real.  Where does it go from there?  Soon you can't be a Christian, or pray in public, or speak your mind in public, where does it end?  I take my rights very seriously.

No doubt that nutech probably lost some credit for using the f word, but I see he is trying to regain that lost ground.  Like I said, the issue would have taken care of itself.  I'm done with this, sorry for making it a big issue, just having withdrawals from arguing with Jon on the board I guess!  lol

The rules of the board make it clear that we cannot curse.  Can we just leave it at that?  We can self police, PLEASE turn that freakin thing off.
