Any difference in site speed?
« on: March 16, 2011, 03:15:14 PM »
I noticed that Google hadn't been indexing our site since I made all the changes. Been tweaking and messing with stuff. Something seems to be blocking it or something not to their liking.

Disabled the URL rewrite that makes the URL look like content in the post. ........Suddenly within an hour Google had indexed 564 URL'S! The site seems to be a bit faster to me as well? Hard to tell here because our internet speed is so slooooooooooooow.

When I researched the Rewrite issue this morning I checked the old mod we used to use and it has been updated to work with this newer version. I may go back to that and drop the current rewrite mod or just go without? Probably no one notices but me. Just irks me that Vbulletin software does all that so easily and SMF doesn't without a lot of work. Of course one is FREE software and the other paid.

Running Firefox with Ad Blocker Plus and NoScript add on and it has always loaded quickly. That's another thing about Google Ads, Firefox users running Optimize Google add on never see the ads on the search pages.
