Chem - I was thinking the same thing?

If you need a booster why not use Spot N Boost? That's what it was made for.

The thing I like about Vacaway is that you can change the concentration of cleaner for a particular job or use SNB to get the results you need.

I would get the spotting kit, SNB, Hotknife, and your choice of Peroxcellent or Encap Green. That should cover the average residential/commercial job you might run into. Add other cleaners or specialty stuff as needed.

Thanks Chem and Mike for this clarification. I have been wondering about the whole "spiking" thing too.

Mike, I assume you recommend Hot Knife for greasy jobs? Are you saying you would go with Encap Green over Intensity Green? If so, why?

You are using a low moisture system, right?

If so then I would use Encap Green.

I'm thinking Hotknife for commercial, nasty or poly and olefin. Can also be used for greasy situations.

Yes, low moisture.

Thank you.

OK, hopefully this will be the last chemical question from me for a while.

I am going to do a friend of mine's 70 year old Mom's townhouse for free for the practice. I haven't seen it yet but I am told that the main problem will be dog spots made by a wiener dog.

I only have the free sample chems that Vacaway sent me to work with right now until I get it figured out what I want to purchase. They did not send any Peroxy but I do have Encap green, Spot n' Boost, Dirt Assasin and Dirt Assasin Green.

Out of these choices, what would you use for this job? Or maybe it is a combination of these that would be best? I hate to get too caught up in the Dirt Assasin stuff since my main objective will be to find out what I will use in the future and those are being replaced. Maybe this would be best done with Peroxy and I should just order some quick and wait to do the job until I have it?

Are we talking odor or just spots?

I'm pretty sure we're just talking spots but I don't know for sure.

I think for spotting I am fairly set, if I get some problem B Gone I will have all the spotters in the kit except rust assassin and Halt. I will just get a brush, PH strips, and I would like to find where to buy the chemical resistant sprayers that fit in the 16 oz. bottle and I will be set.

If I did more high-end stuff, rust assassin would be in the kit.

Rust Assassin is in the Professional Spotting Kit.

Its a good thing to have. Looks more professional and has reference material to help you solve spot problems. You can refill the items as you use them. Nothing worse than running out to the van 100 times. Just bring the kit in and be ready to go. You can put some spotting towels, etc. in there too.

Are the reference materials just the same laminated spotting chart I already have from Vacaway, or is it something different?

I'm thinking its the same overall information?

The one you have is pretty good. Its just nice to have something to refer to when needed. If its in the kit you might be more apt to use it.

Pee rad is a specialty item I wouldn't expect to find in a spotting kit.

Would probably use larger quantities if doing urine jobs anyway.
