What Vacaway chemicals should I have on hand?
« on: April 01, 2011, 09:43:13 AM »
I got Vacaway's free sample kit a while back and have been happy with the results plus I listen to the recomondations of the members of this board so I plan to use Vacaway's chems almost exclusively. I am going through and making a list of the items I will need:

Encap Green
Hot Knife
Peroxcellent
Intensity red, or green?
Spot n' Boost
Pee Radicator
Pig Out
Problem B' Gone
Red Vanish

Fiber Cop

Is there anything I left off this list? Is there anything I can take off this list? Thanks.

All are excellent I would think to save room I would find a good all around juice I really like Peroxcellent for a good all around juice. I hav not tried either of the new offerings. for spotters I really like Pigout and Hel-gel also have red vanish for the really hard koolaid and cough syrup stains

So, are you saying that a pre-spray like Peroxcellent could take the place of :

Encap Green
Hot Knife and
Intensity red?

I use EGC primarily in  occupied homes I try marketing to the people who are smell sensitive and Tree hugger type. Peroxcellent is my go to for trashed S%^holes HK for one account From what I have been reading Either of the intensity's could replace anything that I am currently using

Or you can reverse/change that all around. EG is good, so is HK and IR is what I am using of choice right now. You really dont need 3-4 cleaning agents that do basically the same thing.

Spot n boost
Intensity Green
Peroxcellent
Hell Gel
Red Vanish

I clean mostly residential with some light commercial and this is all I need.  I also have VLM Abstraction from CCSOP for those who want chemical / odor free cleaning.  I'd also suggest getting a carpet shark, duck bill scissors and some terry or microfiber towels

Me too. I use my cleaning agent (Intensity red right now....who knows next week) and I have Cyclone HWE on my side. That is what I carry with me 99.9% of the time. If I cant get the spot out with that.....Im done. I never really have any issues. I do break out the Red Vanish every now and then.

I NO longer chase spots.

Rust, Red, Yellow, Paint, Pen...

I have SnB in a gallon jug, I pour it onto anything sticky..

If that dont work.. put down tile.

I would recommend the spotting kit.

It has everything you need to tackle spotting. Buy refills as needed.

To someone new, I would have a spotting kit. To those of us who are seasoned........I'm sick of salt.

FYI:

I did not wake up one day and say: No More Stain Removal.

I got to that choice by using peroxy and red.

If I need to use something magical after those two chems...the spots typically do not come out. Nor do I get paid.

Keep in mind I do rentals. No one really cares so long as it smells good and the bloody head has been removed.

This is a great tool.  I have to order one for a custy who saw me use it in her home, she had to have one.

They sell the Carpet Sharks at Jon-Don as well....Forget the cost on them, thought they were in the $5-6 range...But if you don't have one near you the eBay price is reasonable... I use mine for my key chain and use it at least 3 times a day....and it's also good for cleaning your fingernails when your day's done.

What do you use the Peroxcellent for that you could not use Intensity Green on or vice-versa?

I may be missing something but it seems that perhaps Intensity Green could be the most versatile all around cleaner. Plus it seems to have a reasonable price and low dilution rates.

Thats why I switched to Intensity Red. I like the dilution ratios for the cost. Perox was also not letting my Multisprayer run right. I think it was the foam?

Urine spots, coffee, upholstery.  Peroxy works better on organic stains spots & urine

Jon, how do you like using red alone?

I am going to try it this week.

The one thing I like about peroxy over anything else is how it works on organic stuff....

Can Intensity Green and Peroxcellent be used together like some of the other Vacaway Chems? If so, is there any reason to spike one with the other?

Would it be a good plan to use Intensity green as a main cleaner and spike with perox if there are a lot of organic stains? Would I need to carry spot n' boost? What kind of stains does Intensity green work the best on?

You know what guys?

I think this whole "spiking" another chem with a certain chem is just a waste of a chem. I manage just fine using perox or intensity red or Hot knife without spiking.

Just my thoughts.
