Surround- Bright All
« on: December 31, 2011, 09:53:34 AM »
Well I have been wanting to try Bright All but wanted to try in my home first because I was concerned about sprayer clogging because its a powder and other concern was residue. I tried it on white Frieze and red plush pile with pet stains. I used a 2 gallon pump up sprayer and added 1 scoop to the 2 gallons the chem I used was DS-2 only because I already had it made up.

I experinced nozzle clogging right away probably because I did not give it any length of time to desolve completely. In about 10 minutes the clogging was gone. The white frieze came out looking great, popped more than usual Bright All may have brightners in it maybe John will pop in and comment. The red plush came out very impressive as well. Bottom line I suggest trying it I will continue trying on different carpet and stains as well. Some frieze carpets seem to be tough to get as clean as I expect so this may me just what the doctor ordered.

Oh yeah almost forgot the another reason I wanted to try it on deep red carpet was because I figured if it was going to leave white residue it would certainly show easy enough on deep red. I see no residue after the cleaning.  Good Job, John!

I would wonder if it would effect the encap ability?  I remember Steve saying something about powders being incompatable with encap?

A tip for mixing Jeff.   Mix the powder seperate in hot water maybe like 32 oz, then shake it a bit and then pour it in.   I dealt with the same problem with some powderd HWE chems. And mixing it before pouring it in the sprayer fixed the issue.

I got some as well with excellent results. The best thing about this stuff fo me is that if I need an extra boost I dont need to use a whole sprayer for a few spots.  I was also worried about clogging but I mixed it up in a quart jug then added to the rest of the sprayer I used it yesterday with a white pet stained Berber Custy was worried that she was gonna have to replace the entire L-R carpet She was very happy with the results I was happy with the 40 dollar tip

I have been wanting to get me some. Good to hear that it runs well through a sprayer once dissolved.

I even checked the screen filter on the spray tip. Then checked the bottom of my pepsi tank nada

Thanks, what do you mean by brighteners? No optical brighteners just peroxide type action. Glad your happy with it. It could leave a white residue if used in a strong mix as a spotter but adding in some encap seems to fix this.
