Spot N Boost Green
« on: May 22, 2010, 09:55:14 AM »
I remember a thread but can't find it.  People were wondering about the smell.  I know I have not been ever using the regular snb if customers were home due to the smell.  Anyhow, I've not used the snb green much yet but it smells basically the same as encap green.  Mild orange/citrus smell, not overwhelming at all.  Seems to me to be about the same smell.  You can use this stuff with custys home no problem imo.

I agree Grant. It's not the same smell as the regular SNB

Does it work as well in comparison to the original S/B.

I currently use the original S/B 2 oz per gal in my prespray, i also add 3 oz per gal of Odorcide just because the customers love it, when using the Odorcide with S/B you cannot smell the S/B so it hasn't been a problem.

Wow do you do that on every or almost every job Jeff?  Must go through that odorcide and snb quick.  I only add the odorcide when they have pets and they pay extra for it.  SNB gives me headaches and I can't stand the smell so I use the original sparingly.  When I finish up what I have left I'll be using the green.

I've used the snb several times w/ no issues, the smell doesn't affect me much.

I also only use odorcide if I get paid extra for it, unless I feel bad for an old lady... :-[

Yes on every residential job I use the Odorcide, I beleive I get more referrals due to it. 9 out of 10 of my customers have atleast one pet most have more. The more senses you can connect with the better the job, using Odorcide I connect with smell as well as visual for the cleaning itself, and the soft feel of the fiber.

Does the Green SNB work as well as the original?

I just got some from Excellent Supply for $79 a gallon.  Half price shipping didn't hurt either!

I've been getting from Excellent supply too.  I rarely go over 2 oz/gal.  The smell is great in lower concentrations, when you get up to the 8 oz/gal level it is pretty strong.  I think the people that complain about the odor of odorcide are talking about the really concentrated stuff.

Jeff, I won't be using the snb green much for a couple months til I run out of the regular which I use very slowly so I may not have an opinion on that subject for quite a while.  It's hard for me to even tell how well snb works as a booster as I seem to almost always get great results just with encap green all by itself.

I like snb but not the smell, will have to try the new snb.

I switched to Bonnet Pro Ultra Surround a few months ago and have been very happy with it.  It cleans as well as EG but smells awesome, custys really like it.  Claims to be an odor neutralizer.  Might be a less expensive alternative than adding odorcide to your solution on each job.  I also found an odor neutralizer from Bill Barnes at Just Right, see links, works very well and half the price of odorcide.

I have not bought anymore cleaning solutions.  I am debating on if I should go with encap green or the surround green from bonnet pro.  What suggestions do you have?
