We've seen a lot of the Trinity lately. Best as I can tell it's a good machine. And I think we know who is selling it. My question is this; after the intro video, feature update videos, field test videos by John's customer, etc., do we need to continue to see it as we are here? My thought is that this post is not your typical before and after pics we often see here. Despite the thread title, "Trinity Cm testing," I think it's advertising and should be posted, and treated as such. Would we accept other vendors posting 10 minutes of promotional video as this was posted? Placing a clean machine neatly on a sheet for display as well as various non-working camera angle shots is not 'testing.' It's advertising and we have an advertising option for those that want to use this board for advertising.  My feelings....time to pony up John G and purchase (or continue to purchase) the advertising space that is available on this board unless you are introducing new updates as you did with the addition of wheels to the Trinity. Then, by all means, bring it to us. Otherwise I think it's advertising.

Good to see some know what this is about, I have had several problems, and like Chris stated, we are correcting and improving on the machine.
Several have asked me, so I post what is going on, never thought someone would actually be offended by such.

Having had a bbs for 15 years now and always letting people promote thier NEW goods, i guess I never considered showing what we are doing to be a problem.

Eric - I'm cool with it.  ;D

John has made quite a few changes and this machine is different than the first trinity. It does seem to be quieter now?

John, you will have to work much harder than this to offend me. Just looks like advertising to me. Would we allow or invite HOS, Oreck or any other company to use the site this way?

HOS has, then we ran the dude off for being a goof ball.  Orbitec  Clark was active here for  awhile. Jim E.  posts quite a bit over the years , look at all the duramaid threads, and when the orbot came out.    Ed V. posts a video once in awhile,

I for one have always enjoyed it when a manufacter explains his stuff on the boards.

I certainly understand where Eric is coming from, although I as a distributor don't mind seeing other companies post here.  I know there is a Vendor area where I think we as distributors and manufacturers where suppose to post our wares unless responding to a previous post.  But I agree, I think most including myself enjoy seeing new equipment and how it works,  so if Mike doesn't have a problem with it, then I don't think it is a problem, although I could be slightly prejudice.

Mike, unless I'm mistaken, paid advertising supports this board. Part of my point is that when vendor intros and updates go on to be advertising, as I still think John's last post is, maybe that is how it should be treated. Sure, enjoyed the vids of the Trinity and may even buy one some time. Like it when any vendor brings updates. I just think this post falls well within the field of free advertising when others are paying for exposure of product on this site.

Eric - I appreciate your concern. We're lucky to have members like you. Because we have such great members I rarely have to moderate anything and the board is self policing.

At this point there is no real "paid" advertising. The only thing that pays for advertising on this site is Google. That barely pays for the hosting. Some months it doesn't. When it doesn't the money comes from my pocket. The other banners are shown at my discretion for free. I do have software in place for companies to buy advertising but I have never sold any.

I'm fine with vendors doing some promotion as long as they don't hit us over the head with it constantly or try to hijack threads to sell stuff all the time. Luckily that has never happened here.

This is such a small industry. I don't mind helping someone like John Geurkink, Ed Valentine, Jim England or others  I think provide good customer service and try to help people.

I feel John is continuing the evolution of the trinity and look forward to hearing and seeing the improvements being made to the machine and look forward to his posts and videos to keep us aware of what is going on with the machine.
