Low moisture tools and supplies organization
« on: January 05, 2012, 09:39:29 PM »
Just looking for organization ideas. I do not do this every day like most of you so I am looking for ideas that will help me make the least amount of trips in and out of a customers home and up and down my basement stairs.

Right now I don't have that much stuff but I keep accumulating tools and supplies as I go. Right now I carry in:

2 buckets - one has pads and the other has the sprayer, a spray bottle of spot n' boost and gliders.
Vacuum
OP machine
a box of other spotting chems
a gallon jug of cleaning chem (Intensity Red) in case I need to mix more
Clipboard, calculator, tape measure

In the truck I pack a box of extra pads
soon I will be bringing a Gem stair tool and pads

How do you guys organize your stuff? I like having the 2 buckets so I was thinking of getting a couple of those bucket organizers to put the spotting agents(small bottles) in? Maybe a milk crate for the stair tool and accessories?

I'm open to all suggestions.

I have a family minivan, that I only use now for my janitorial work, so the last seat is out.  I keep my janitorial supplies (bucket, backpack vac and other things like a duster and long pole) in the van, I also keep my 17" follr machine in there.   When I do carpets I will take with me what I need same as you do, I have learned that 5 gal pails make great ways to carry stuff.  I also purchased one of these, would not be without it.

Dave- It takes me one trip to get everything to the door. Here is what I do:

Orbot with pads on top, vacuum on top of the pads, multisprayer in other hand. I have a spotting bottle clipped onto my Orbot. Sometimes it may take me two trips to the van if I am feeling lazy.  :P

I take my clipboard with invoice to the front door with me when I first arrive to meet the customer.
