 It is loud.
My used machine rattled loudly and thought something was really bad. Turned out to be a loose transport wheel.

All videos I have seen on the Trinity sound loud.

I wish I could get my hands on one of those to test out. They just dont appeal to me nor does the price. I would like to have some hands on with one to see if all the issues I think I may have with one are true.

There was some excess noise.  I replaced a couple of washers with rubber washers and that helped quite a bit.  The tank will also rattle a bit against the bracket while in use depending on the type of floor, first floor solid etc. is pretty quiet, if the floor is uneven or hollow there is a lot more.  I put a line of black duct tape around my pepsi tank to see what would happen and the noise was cut in half.  Now all I hear is the engine noise pretty much.  It's pretty quiet on speed 1, louder on 2, and a bit louder on 3.  I ran it for the first time today on speed 3 in an apartment and the noise actually wasn't bad at all, though far louder than a defender or orbot.

The machine still cleans great on speed 1 and that's where I will be doing residential.  One could always take the tank off.

For the price, should you have to be dealing with the noise and doing mods?

The field barely supports the competition it has now.

In and ideal world.  But so far I've had a few issues with every machine.  My defender was mysteriously blowing fuses for the first 6 months or so I had it at almost every job.  Wasn't until I just cut all the wires, and replaced the switch and cord that I solved that issue.  The spray system had a bunch of issues too, so I removed the whole thing.  The breeze was a workhorse but seemed to go through bearings and o-rings at a pretty rapid rate which was annoying.  My challenger was pretty reliable but did break the release pedal thing about 2 months after I got it.

So I've had to deal with a couple issues, at least John G. always gets on the phone when I call and immediately shipped me the part no questions asked when something happened. Great service and a great invention I might add.  Though the last few kinks may still be getting ironed out.

Yes there are a few quirks still being worked out, Grant has been wonderful and helpful in this area.
The information being passed back to me from the first Trinitys sold is enabling us to change things and improve them
It takes time, but are committed to get it right.

Noise issues have been eliminated in the newer design, and I will be talking to trinity owners to see about ways and paths to bring
their machines up to the new standards.

Testing of machines is not so easy  ya know, my machine works great, has held up, however I do not do apartments and mess with stairs, so that is one area hard to test, Coby does 100 hours a week, how can you test for that? But like I stated, the continued information being brought back in from machines in the field are aiding in eliminating the problem areas.

Very well said.  That pretty much sums up why I am not mad or upset about anything.   :great:

Regarding the noise issues, some of it might be the videos sort of amplifying what you hear.  I ran mine on speed 1 all day yesterday and it's not any louder than my challenger is now on that speed.  There's no extra rattling any more.  My challenger has always had a little rattle to it, may not have been balanced right from the start but still runs fine.  The defender is still whisper quiet in comparison, but I'll take the extra agitation and cleaning speed any day.
