Like I have said, it is simple physics.
compare what is going on under the machine to a machine simply turning around and around. What cleans is the number of times a pad goes over a given fiber of carpet in a given amount of time, really JOHN it IS that simple. I think you have built the BEST looking rotary I have ever seen, it is CLASSY, I am sure it does a great job, however quality of clean and speed of a rotary simply will not match OP, especially the Trinity on Speed three which is basically what we clean on all the time.
Your one pass statement can be also done with rotary. No it can not, it doesn't move over the carpet fiber nearly as many times in a second. What you stated is physically IMPOSSIBLE.
I have been a cleaner since 1985 with my company and earlier than that working for others so I also have some time under my belt. Your statement goes to the fact that you think yours is king mine goes to the fact that yours may not be the best choice for everyone.John, I started in 1974 with ROTARIES, soon found that OP did a better job, never looked back, yes chemistry has changed but the need to utilize that chemistry has become more wanting not less.
BTW when sanding, orbital is KING smooth, even, fast, easy and no lines of digs in the wood floor, rotary takes a ton of time and gives poor results.
Now, I agree, there is a NEED for both machines, as long as we agree they are not the same, I would have no horse in this race. I hope you do well with the beautiful machine you have built, I wish you nothing but success, truly. Other than a funny haircut you seem like a really nice guy and I am rather certain you and I would get along together real well, we both have a passion for cleaning. God bless you and yours this CHRISTmas.
Clark? Yeah have done business with Clark for many years, he builds some of my machines.
