Another potential income source that we are having our mattress cleaning dealers do and are introducing to our carpet cleaners is Anti-Allergy home treatment. We charge .15 to .18 cents a square foot, based on room dimensions. Your cost about .02 cents a square foot. We use the same vapor fog machine that we use for the bed bug program. It is really easy and simple to do. We put our Anti-Allergy Relief Treatment in the machine and vapor fog the entire house. Starting in the bedrooms directing the fog to the bed (better if no bedding is on) we ask the customer wash their bedding before or after we are done. We vapor fog all the furniture in the bedroom including the drapes, and carpeting, we open the closets and vapor fog in there. We work our way toward the living area hitting all the carpet. As we are using the machine a lot of the fog will go into the air of the room, treating that as well. We do the entire house including all furniture, drapes, carpet, and closets. We get the mattresses and furniture just slightly damp. Then we turn the air or heat off, turn on the fan and vapor fog into the return air vents. This sucks the vapor through the return ducts and pushes it through all the duck work. So now you have put this Anti-Allergy Treatment though out the house or business. It will last about 6 months neutralizing the effects of most allergens including pet dander. This is a new process for us, but several of our dealers with bad allergies have done it to their own homes and said it made quite a bit of difference especially when compared to just applying it to their mattresses and furniture. Using the vapor fog machine allows the Anti-Allergy Treatment to penetrate into areas it generally would not if sprayed on, which is the typical way to apply it.
