Techno vs trashed berber
« on: February 01, 2012, 06:07:13 PM »
Had a supper trashed berber carpet today.  One of the worst I've seen in years.  I thought it would be a good time to test out my new little 175.  So after a hard pre spray I pre scrubed the crap out of this carpet.  I couldn't even put a dent in the filth. After that  I didn't think it would clean up very well , because normaly after a pre scrub a carpet will look much better.

Any ways I hooked up the wand, turned the heat up full blast and went to town.    I was able to paint this carpet white with each stroke!  Cleaned up real easy just 1 or 2 overlaping passes.   Even got a few red stains out from just the cleaning.      One of the best results I ever got!   Funny thing is a job like this will come out great then the next job will be clean and  only have 1 spot,  and that's the one that won't come out.  lol

Right Mo,   little giant #2.

I sure wish I had my camera on me Stephen, would have been an awesome before and after. I used grease eater from magic wand.  If you want my spear 175 , I'll make you a good deal for it, but shipping might be a killer.

High heat can make a huge difference in some carpets when using HWE.

Using dual methods also helps.

13 inch,  45 pounds.  I got it for pre scrubbing so I wouldn't have to haul the defender in. Also should be use full for smaller pad cap jobs (if not to dirty.)  The extra one I have is in real nice shape, but the handle adjustment is a pain, needs fixing.   I got $300 invested in these machines , got em for $150 and spent about $150 in gas to go pick them up.   I would let one go to a freind for half of what I spent ($150).  Problem is it would cost alot to ship.
