I owned one once. .............Didn't like it. You can't see the jets on it. Makes it difficult to tell when the jets are not spraying right.

The PMF 802 is a nice general purpose wand.

Thanks Mike, was that the only thing you didn't like about it?

Why are you interested in it?

It doesn't "glide" particularly easy from what I remember? Also more difficult to get to the edges.

Yes, I was looking for a glided wand but if it doesn't glide very easy I guess it's not what I need.

PMF 802 and be done.

Glides are overrated in my book. I know that's not a popular position today but there you have it. They are more easily clogged, don't allow you to get to the edges. They are also expensive.

We experimented with glides early on and found them to be a PITA.

The biggest "benefit" is for those that are physically challenged or lazy.

Glad you brought this topic up. I'm going to add it to the long list of videos I'm going to create. Will cover some different wands and glides.

Sorry, sold it years ago.

Did you know that PMF makes a more rounded metal lip for their wands? Supposed to make it easier to push. Never tried them but they are on the PMF site.

Hi Mike M.,  Guess I logged in and went fishin'.  Been gone for a week.

About wands, when you  did commercial did you use a 14"? Or did you say you sold it?   Just curious as maybe I'd be just as well off with another 12"?  I Definitely want to set up a dual wand system and I'm going to have to buy another wand. And should I go with a 2" tube or  just use 1.5" with whip line?
Saving the Powrflite wand for area rugs and orientals as it just doesn't lay down much water.
As I write this I'm wondering about the performance of that "wonder wand" if hooked to the TM because I've never ran it on anything but the porty.  I just know that it a 3 jet- 3 flow, and the other wand that came with the TM is a 2 jet -6 flow.
Got your PM but did not see any Pmf wands on your scrubmiester site?
Clicked into Pmf and westpak sites.  One thing I did want is a low profile wand and PMF does not list its hieghts on the cleaning heads.

Bud - I don't have the PMF line on there yet. Its on the list for this week. Here's a link to PMF http://www.pmftools.com If there is something you are interested let me know and I'll get you a price.

I have run 14" in the past when working by myself. I ended up using all  PMF 802's in the end. It was easier to standardize parts inventory and the employees really liked using these.

Here is a rough guide I used to use when running size 4 blowers................1.5" tube 12" wide wand and whip for under 200'. 2" tube and no whip if longer runs or wider wand. The guidelines change if you are running bigger blowers.

For the average carpet cleaner a short (10-15') 1.5" whip and 1.5" tubed 12" wand should be fine. This size hose is more flexible and easier to work around objects.

If dual wanding is in the near future you may be better off getting another 12" wand.

I just looked at a  Westpak TI wand. I did not like it with a roller on front of cleaning head. You can't clean right up to the edges with the roller sticking out in front like that.
I guess I'll just start thinking another 12" wand. With the cloud of steam that blows out around the wand would you go closed chamber? ( I'm thinking this would be good for cleaning around furniture?)  I'll call Masterblend up and see who makes the wand they shipped.  Yes, it would be best to have the same wands to cut down on parts on on hand.
Would like to keep it american made. El Diablo is made usa, now we will see if they went with an american wand. Let you know what they say!

You sell PMF now, does this mean you have hide-a-hose?

Its a Westpak wand that comes with the Diablo.

Mike, are you going to be doing westpaks on your Scubmiester store?
To keep parts for same wands its kind of pushing me to go with the Westpak seeing how thats what I have now.   :banghead:

I think I will be going with PMF for now?

Buying another Westpak of the same type would be a good idea. Same parts so less for you to stock.

Its also an excellent idea to have more than one wand on the truck. If something goes you can just grab the other wand and keep going.
