I thought I would add some cheap tips.
For a hose corner guard use a small orange cone cut in 1/2
For a hose stay for stairs I use a nylon rope with a noose loop. When I get to stairs I loop rope around hose thru noose loop and 1/2 knot it to stair banister the weight of hose tightens the grab on hose so it doesnt walk away .
To repair equiptment test without hoses I have had a quck disconnect and a hose elbow both fail and I thought it was the pump both times.
