Wet Vac
« on: February 24, 2011, 09:02:15 PM »
Few days ago I purchased a small 5 gal. 5hp wet vac at Lowes. It is their Kobalt brand. Has great suction which rivals my portable, granted using a short hose. It uses a 2 stage vac motor with a remote on off feature. Used it today on a urine job before cleaning with low moisture. Worked perfect for that application, even used my portable wand with it. Comes with a wall mount which I plan on hanging in the van. Here is a link to the product.    http://www.lowes.com/pd_120940-10345-KWM508_4294810293_4294937087_?productId=3125679&Ns=p_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_quantity_sold|1&pl=1&currentURL=/pl_Shop%2BVacuums%2B_4294810293_4294937087_%3FNs%3Dp_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_quantity_sold|1%26page%3D5

PlumKleen, thanks for posting. Seems like you're just a couple steps ahead of me in adding tools... first with the Cyclo, now the wet vac!

its always nice when ya add new tools to the box. i have the older version (not wall mountable) of that vac and have used it continuously for 5 yrs! mine has the single stage vac which actually puts out more cfm's but less lift.
i use mine primarily for furnace and dryer vent cleaning when i do air ducts.

i like this new(er) version   :great:

Picked one up today  :great:. Cannot wait to test this baby out it looks better than the shopvac and will take up less room in the van. Thanks for the tip it was only $99.00 and it comes with everything you need guys.

When I first saw it a couple months ago the price was $79 should have bought sooner  :-[ still a great vac for the price! Already had the shop vac version just not enough suction for what I needed plus my wife and I were always needing at the same time. She handles our rental turnover cleaning. I really did not expect it to be that much better.

When you guys say you use this for urine jobs, are you saying in conjuntion with a water claw?
What else would you use a shop vac for other than duct cleaning?

 :017:
Thank you
