Warning! Warning! Beware! You have been warned!!!!!
« on: September 18, 2010, 03:54:47 AM »
Just wanted to give a two thumbs up to a product I tried today on crappy apartment carpet. the beige polypropylene. the one you have to tell the custy. "this will be clean but.. nothing will come out" almost always I have to give the disclaimer.

Ok today I used 2 ounces liquid slurry 1 ounce of Magic Wand citra-pure, 1/2 ounce defoamer per two gallon pump sprayer. and holy smokes Not only did it get it clean. IT LOOKS BRAND NEW!! never ever in all my years of cc has this type of carpet ever or remotely come clean. not even when I worked for CD.

the custy even threw it back into my face "I thought you said it wouldnt come clean?" Normally it will not for any reason. unless I 175 it.

So the citra-pure is the key to this stuff.  :banghead: if I only knew years before! dang it!

Glad this product is working for you.

The reason is you got better results is that kind of carpet loves oil and the Citrus was able to help with that.

There are also products for Olefin that would work. Basically anything with a higher PH should help too? Anything that can help break the oil bond. There will still be some carpets that don't respond so don't despair.

Another tool for the toolbox.  ;D

Steve's new Dirt Assassin might work also and would be able to keep inside the Low Moisture arena, should one so desire.

I will admit that I do sometimes miss the higher PH 'soaps' in some rooms.

But I do not miss dragging in a porty or hoses.....

For my mystery spots, DA seems to be the key for now.

They were Deleted, BANNED, and reported to Spam Stopper.  :great:

Have had quite a few suspect registrants lately. I suspect they are trying to take advantage of the software in some way.

Yep Nutech, my heart did skip a beat.  Slurry is good stuff.  Matter of fact, Joel and I were just talking about that the other day.  I wouldn't use it as a prespray, but it's the best damn emulsifier ever invented.  I started out cleaning with nothin but slurry.  True story

As for the poly, depends on which poly it was.  There are three major polys.  You probably did have the poly-p which is the best of the polys.  The ones that you are used to not getting clean are usually the p.e.t. polys, bad bad stuff.  In all three cases they are all oleophylic, meaning they love oil.  In the case of the p.e.t., the oil actually eats the carpet.  No chit.

This was the worst poly. cheap crap thrown into multi family dwellings..  I have been wasting my money on other citrus products they smell great. work good on high quality carpet. I have seriously poured it straight on this type of carpets before and nadda.

I use the slurry as a prespray because it works better than any other presray I have tried. and My final rinse agent reacts with it and turns left over water into co2. and leaves zero rezez behind.
