I been using the USPS service where you can pay for postage online and print out the shipping label yourself. Pay with Paypal. Schedule a pickup online and the post guy knocks on my door to pick up the package! For anything less than 70 lbs. it's cheaper than the brown wonder. They even send me priority shipping boxes in 3 sizes for free right to my door! Most of my stuff is fairly small, havent had to ups for months.

Micky,

Compare FedEx Ground shipping charges next time. I believe they are less with the oversize stuff.

The UPS Store is one of the most expensive way to send things.

I love printing labels with Paypal then just dropping them off. Lot less expensive.

Last I checked FedEx Ground was cheaper than UPS. If you go to one of the UPS stores or FedEx Kinkos, they will rape you on the price because that is were the profit is made.(I spent the last 19 years as a FedEx driver so I know a little about the shipping industry)

NO Beer, are you sure????? what type of a person doesnt do beer????? You can just pass it on to me because here in Utah just to the north, they dont have Real Beer unless if we import it from a surrounding state.....  But we can have many wifes but no real beer........ still trying to figure that out... You can also find LTL (less than truckload) carriers that will have better rates for heavier shipments. Things over 25lbs. You may be able to find rate in the $.50-$.60/lb depending in destination for 2-3 day service

Your also better to drop it off or partner with a business that has a loading dock. YOu can get hit w/ extra fees like required tailgate ($35), etc...

Yellow, Roadway, BAX Global etc... are just a few companies with good nationwide service
