The Bissell "Pro-Heat" by Grandma
« on: February 10, 2012, 12:06:53 AM »
This, I thought was a just and interesting perspective on a customer's way of cleaning carpets. If they had someone truly interested, like me!

So, I borrow, that Bissell "Pro-Heat" and I love it!  The fact is, it is neither "Pro" nor does it have "Heat"! Its maybe 5 or 6 years old, and it's really just a Jr. squirt - n - suck with a rotating brush, but I gotta tell ya, if you do it right, which I think I come close to, (BTW Resolve and Rainbow=Four Letter words in my house), it's not all that bad. I take 2 drops of Dawn to a half gallon tank and, thanks to the forum, I added a TSPN. of Hydrogen Peroxide. Don't know if it helped, (it was mostly hot tap water) but using this in that machine made the carpets, look way-the-hell-better than as before.) Keep in mind, I did the pre-vac with the cheapest and only vac I own, but it'll scare up some junk. Just thought I'd share...

Using dish soap will make your carpet attract dirt not to mention feel sticky

Bigchchuckie, I hear what you're saying, I think I literally used 2 drops. Talk about sticky, the solution that you're supposed to use for the machine is super sticky, hence I think that's why it no longer sprays. I did read somewhere that dish soap would attract although, I can't see using the real juice, it must attract dirt evn if diluted.
