Launching my Biz in MN
« on: July 19, 2011, 07:01:39 PM »
I'm Sheri and about to launch  my commercial/office cleaning business.  I've been working on my start-up budget, so far its about $325; GLI, Bond, Assumed Name, Legal notice, P.O. Box.  I'm a little lost on the taxes of my services  :17: I'm consulting with a pro this week about that.  I have my marketing plan together.  I think I'll be up and running by the end of this month. ;D  Later, I plan on adding carpet cleaning to my services.

Welcome and good luck!  It can def. be a bit overwhelming at first to sort out taxes, budgets, all the weird laws etc. Nice to factor in the budget a few consults to make sure you get everything set up so that you understand it and get running smoothly.

Welcome to the forum.  ;D

Yes......You should consult with a lawyer, accountant and insurance agent. There may also be startup info available online from your state.

Good luck!

Hi Sheri, Welcome to the board from a neighbor next door in WI. At least with your state government shut down they won't be collecting taxes on your business. Oh, wait. I forgot that it doesn't work that way. I have a few commercial accounts. They definitely like the simplicity of one vendor for cleaning, carpet cleaning and window washing.

HI, MIKE.  I hope you can help me, I'm going to post a thread regarding taxes.  I'm assuming the small biz office and dept of revenue is still closed cause I tried calling them.   I'm going to post a new thread.
